This privacy statement provides you with information on the processing of your personal data in the context of use of the website www.competo-cp.de (the "website").

The responsible party pursuant to the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), with regard to the processing of personal data in connection with the website is Competo Capital Partners GmbH, Karlstraße 12 - Karolinen Karree, 80333 Munich ("Competo", "we", "us").

 

2. Processing of your data
a. In general, if you are only using the website to obtain information (i.e. if you do not actively provide us with information), we do not collect personal data, with the exception of data that your browser automatically transmits to enable you to visit the site. This includes the following:

- The IP address of the requesting computer
- The date and time of accessing
- The volume of data transmitted in each case
- The browser type and browser version
- The operating system used
- The referrer URL
- The host name of the accessing computer

 

In general, we cannot assign this data to particular persons. The aforementioned processing of data occurs for the purpose of enabling use of the website (to establish a connection). Insofar as processing of the abovementioned data involves personal data, the corresponding processing of this data is based on Art. 6 (1) Clause 1 f) GDPR (legitimate interest, the legitimate interest being derived from the aforementioned purpose).

b. Insofar as you contact us via the contact data provided on the website (e.g. by email), we process the personal data you provide in this context (e.g. your email address in the event of a request via email) to respond to your request. The legal basis for the processing of the abovementioned personal data is Art. 6 (1) Clause 1 f) GDPR (legitimate interest, the legitimate interest being derived from the fact that we can only realise the action requested by the user (e.g. answering an inquiry) through appropriate data processing). In addition, if the aim of the contact is to conclude a contract, Art. 6 (1) Clause 1 b) GDPR (performance of contract or precontractual measures) provides the legal basis for processing.

c. The website uses cookies. Cookies are small text files that are stored in the memory (cache) of your browser and whose data is used for technical session control. Their purpose includes facilitating your navigation through our website.

We use so-called session cookies to recognise the fact that you have already visited individual pages on our website.

You can configure your browser so that no cookies are stored or a notice always appears before a new cookie is created. However, disabling cookies may mean that you cannot (fully) use all the features of our website.

The personal data collected in the context of use of the website will not be disclosed to third parties or transmitted in any other way without your consent, said policy being subject to other cases expressly described in this privacy statement.

We may use technical service providers to process personal data on our behalf (e.g. IT service providers). These service providers process the corresponding personal data exclucively according to our instructions (processors). The legal basis for such data processing is Art. 28 GDPR (Job processing) in combination with Art. 6 (1) Clause 1 f) GDPR (legitimate interest cf. the corresponding legitimate interest in Paragraph 2 above) and/or Art. 6 (1) Clause b) GDPR (performance of contract or pre-contractual measures, cf. under Paragraph 2 in this respect).

We may share your personal data with third parties if required to do so by law (e.g. at the request of a court or law entforcement agency). The legal basis for such data processing is Art. 6 (1) Clause 1 c) GDPR (legal obligation).

 

4. Duration of storage of your personal data
Unless otherwise stipulated in the other provisions of this privacy statement, we only save your personal data obtained by us in connection with use of the website for as long as this is particularly necessary to process your requests to us, and then only to the extent and insofar as we are obliged to do so due to mandatory statutory retention obligations. Insofar as we no longer need your data for the purposes described above, it will only be stored during the respective statutory retention period and will not be processed for other purposes.

 

5. Your rights
You have the right to demand information from us at any time about your personal data stored by us. Insofar as the legal prerequisites exist, you also have rights with regard to us to the rectification, deletion or limitation of processing of the corresponding data and the right to object to processing of your data by us. If you have consented to the user of personal date, you may revoke this consent at any time with effet for the future.

If you believe that the proccessing of personal data relating to you violates applicable data protection law, you may complain to the relevant data protection supervisory authority.

7. Data security
Competo maintains up-to-date technical measures to ensure data security (e.g. SSL encryption) in particular to protect your personal data against risks in data transmissions and with regard to the acquisition of knowledge by thiird parties. These are adapted in each case to reflect the current state of the art of technology.
